Another interesting week for Cookham's favourite cricket club. The 1st XI chaulked up another great victory whilst the 2nd and 3rd XI's both drew.
On sunday, the team recorded the hightest score in Cookham Dean's history against a below strength Luddites team. 378 in forty overs is an incredible total and would have been even higher had Godwil and Patrick not retired.
Lots of mentions this week inclding 4 wickets for aaron in the ones but on a sunsoaked weekend of dry flat piteches it was the batsmen who grabbed the headlines - Godwill scored 155 and Patrick 105 in the sunday game. Mike Cutting and Jonny Gay both hit fifties in the threes whilst Jake Richardson batted aggressively and "positively" on his way to 87 for the Second XI.
This week''s winner is however Tom Bibby, who's battling 67 was instrumental in ensuring the first's took the points against fleet justifying Bigun's claim that he is the best batsman at the club !!
