The 1st team remain in 3B after a respectable 7th placed finish last season and they kick off their campaign away at Teddington Town and their first home game is the following week against relegated North Maidenhead 2s. The season climaxes with a home game against Amersham 2s.

The 2nds kick off their 5B campaign after last season's promotion success with a home game against Reading 4ths. Their season finishes with an away clash against last season's promotion rivals Maidenhead and Bray 3s.

10 Nov 2009 : WORKING PARTY ON SATURDAY
Hi Guys. This weekend, Ed Wells-Cole and the tree surgeons have been extremely busy up the club clearing a lot of space and transforming the car parking area and side of the pavilion. However there is a lot of cleaning up and work that needs to be done. We need a working party from 10.00am next Saturday please. We need as many people as possible up the club armed with gloves, spades, rakes and forks. We have some grand plans for improving the club this winter and the work needs to begin now. There will be bacon butties, endless cups of tea. Also we will make sure the club is open for the rugby in the afternoon and there will be a big bonfire as well to clear all the rubbish. Please guys we really need the support of everyone this winter. If everyone can do their bit we will have a fantastic facility for next year and a big improvement on this year.

Pass this on to parents, friends and family. Help will be needed outside and in the kitchen. Lets all muck in!

22 Oct 2009 : ANDREW MILLAR
Cookham Dean Cricket Club is deeply sorry to announce the sudden death of Andrew Millar. Andrew has been associated with the club for many years and many of you will know him through his work with colts and senior teams alike. He has most recently been the fixtures secretary – so has dealt with all our visiting teams as well.

Andrew collapsed on Wednesday night after playing football. His loss is devastating for the club but of course more so for his wife Helen and sons Ben and Rory and daughter Clara. Funeral arrangements will be announced later.

04 Sep 2009 : DEPLETED DEAN HEAD INTO FINAL LEAGUE WEEKEND
Cookham Dean's two league sides will look to end their Thames Valley League seasons on a high but will have to do it the hard way with both sides missing a number of regular players.

The First team travel to promotion chasing Royal Ascot and will be looking to put the brakes on their promotion charge after upsetting Chenies and Latimer last week. George Edlin and Clive Lambden are unavailable which means that Jake Richardson and Simon D'Ardenne earn recalls.

1st XI: B. Millar, T. Bibby, R. Millar, J. Richardson, S. D'Ardenne, C. Nunn, C. Austin, S. Gandesha, A. Patel, A. O'Donoghue, P. Patel.

The 2nds complete a double header against Royal Ascot and are without skipper Richard Bibby who is playing in a baseball competition, Mark Fish skippers in his absence. Other regulars missing include Dave Brooks while Mike Cutting is suffering with numerous injuries. Andy Pett has yet to recover from his leg injury as well. The side is boosted by the returns of Ollie Freeman, Arun Brar and Guy Glover who looks set to keep wicket. A number of other unavailables means that 3rd team skipper Jonathan Gay and 3rd team opening bowler Andy Partridge make only their second league appearances of the season. John Gay also steps into the breach for only his second league appearance for the Dean, the last one coming against Royal Ascot in the corresponding fixture last season.

2nd XI: Tom Wells-Cole, Mark Fish, Arun Brar, Shaun Glover, Guy Glover, Ollie Freeman, Rob Mettler, Jonathan Gay, John Gay, Andy Partridge, Isaac Richardson.
