Hi all,

Following our successful tour of Exeter last year, CDCC are this year touring Brighton. We'll be heading there on Tuesday 23rd July, playing 3 games and watching the first day of Sussex v Australia on Friday 26th July.

Total cost for tour is £150 which includes 3 nights in the hotel (UMI in Brighton) and a ticket for the cricket on the Friday. If you don't plan on attending the cricket, the cost for the hotel is £125. Spaces are limited for both so please let me or Patrick Castleden know ASAP if you can make it.

Obviously if the hotel spaces fill up, people are free to make their own arrangements and still join us for the matches and nights out! Also, those who can only make part of the tour are welcome to join us late.

Friday (14th June) sees the official opening of the new scorebox by the club's guest of honour Theresa May MP. The bar will be open from 3.45pm and the official opening will be taking place some time between 4.15pm and 4.30pm. All club members are welcome to attend so we hope to see plenty of you there!

Hi all,

After last Tuesday and Thursday's wash-outs the 1st XI will try again at Boyne Hill tomorrow in their 1st round Julian Cup clash! The weather looks set fair so it looks like we'll get the game in. The game is a 6pm start and it would be great to see plenty of CDCC members supporting the team!

Hi all,

Senior nets tomorrow evening are cancelled due to the 1st XI's Julian Cup game at Boyne Hill tomorrow (6pm start).

It would be great if club members could support the team by making the short trip to Boyne Hill for this ding-dong derby!

Hi all,

A working party will take place at the club from around 10am on Monday 6th May. We need to clear the groundsman's sheds area in preparation for equipment being moved to the new building. There are also a few other jobs to do but with decent numbers there it shouldn't take too long.

ps, next week is the first league game and we have 3 teams to get out! Please update your availability on the website to assist team captains with selection!

Tony Turner, a former Cookham Dean captain, has sadly died. Our thoughts are with all of his friends and family at this sad time.

Tony's funeral will be held at Amersham Crematorium at 1045, and drinks will take place at Cookham Dean CC afterwards.

To make sure that the wine list at the Club is appropriate, there will be a wine tasting on Friday 3rd May from 5pm to 8pm. Our current range will be available, alongside 10 “new” wines (red, white, rose), for you to taste and evaluate.

Outdoor starts for seniors start at the club tomorrow evening from 7pm and will run throughout the season on Thursdays. New members are of course welcome!
