The Cookham Dean Cricket Club Three Pints Challenge - based on an original idea by Ben Millar
Rules:
- Participation in the challenge is strictly optional. No one who does
not wish to attempt the challenge will be made to so. Only those 18
years old or over shall be allowed to take part.
- The challenge is to drink a pint of lager, ale, cider or
alcoholic drink of similar strength at each of the following locations:
Cookham Dean Cricket Club, The Jolly Farmer and Uncle Tom's Cabin. The
chosen drink does not have to be the same at each location.
- The person attempting the challenge (the 'challenger') may
choose to start at any of the above locations, may visit these
establishments in any order, and may use any route between them.
- The time limit for the challenge is 24 minutes exactly. If the
challenge is completed outside this time, the attempt shall be deemed a
failure.
- Timing will begin whenever the challenger tells the nominated
timekeeper he or she is ready to begin. The challenger may then
commence drinking his or her first pint.
- At least one designated person (one of whom may be the
timekeeper) will be stationed at each location. He or she will be in
charge of making sure the challenger's chosen drink is ready, as well
as checking that the pint is drunk in full without significant
spillage. Significant spillage will result in the attempt being deemed
a failure.
- It is not permitted to drink while moving from one location to
the next. Each pint must be drunk in full within the confines of the
relevant establishment. This can include the outside patio areas at
each location, but will not include the cricket pitch or car park at
Cookham Dean Cricket Club.
- Once empty, each of the three pint glasses must be placed down
safely. If any of the glasses are broken by the challenger, the attempt
shall be deemed a failure.
- The challenger must travel exclusively by foot, and may not be
assisted in moving from one location to the next by any other person.
- Expelling liquid (including, but not limited to, vomiting or
urinating) during the course of the challenge shall result in the
challenger's attempt being deemed a failure.
- The challenge is complete when the third pint has been drunk in
full and the empty pint glass placed down safely. If this occurs within
the time limit, then the attempt shall be deemed a success.
- Any amendments to these rules, or adjudications on any issues
not specifically covered herein, will be made by the advisory panel of
Richard Bibby, Tom Bibby, Mike Cutting and Andrew Partridge, or their
nominated successors.
