Match report Half centuries from the Millar brothers guided Cookham Dean's 1st XI to a comfortable ten wicket win on Saturday over Kew 2nds.

Kew won the toss and elected to bat but the new ball partnership of Chris Nunn (3-38) and Justin Rodgie (3-25)saw them quickly slump to 30 for 6. Licudi (42) and Goulding (57) rebuilt for the Londoners before Aaron O'Donoghue (3-37) removed them both. There was also one wicket for Sav Gandesha's off-spin as Kew battled to 151 all out, still likely to be some way short of a par score.

Ben and Rory Millar, who was opening in the absence of Jon Stewart, set about their task well. Ben was dropped a few times but battled through that to make 79 not out, a first league 50 of the season for the captain, while Rory began to bat more and more freely as the innings went on to also make his first half-century of the league season.

They chased down the target in just under 38 overs, taking Cookham Dean back into second place in a very congested Division 3B table.
