Match report Cookham Dean 1st XI kept up their promotion charge with a 74 run win over bottom side NPL Teddington. Cookham won the toss and Caretaker Captain, Tom Bibby, had no hesitation in choosing to bat first at the NPL Sport Grounds. The Dean got off to a solid start with Rory Millar making 25 before he was caught off the bowling of NPL skipper, Tomlinson. This brought Bibby to the crease who combined well with Tom Wells-Cole as both made scores in the 40s. A few wickets went down quickly but Christian Austin, enjoying a recent recall to the 1st XI, stood firm and made his highest score of the season with 71. Some hitting from Justin Rodgie, Will McCreery and Mike Cutting eventually allowed Cookham to declared three overs early at 253-7. Tomlinson the pick of the attack with four wickets.

Rodgie got the innings off to an outstanding start as he had W. Pitts caught for a duck and N. Churchman followed lbw soon after. Aaron O'Donoghue had key batsman C Churchman caught sharply in the gully by Rodgie for 22 while Christian Austin clean bowled numbers 5 and 6 in the order cheaply. Tomlinson was proving to be NPL's star as he passed 50 before being bowled by O'Donoghue for 60. Wickets continued to fall at regular intervals and Cookham eventually wrapped up the 25 point win with just over four overs to go. Austin the pick of the attack with 4-43 while Rodgie took 3-42.
