Match report Cookham Dean 1st XI took another stride towards promotion with a comfortable seven wicket win over promotion rivals, Wokingham 2s. The home side won the toss and chose to bat and as often been the case this season, Chris Nunn and Justin Rodgie each picked up an early wicket apiece. Gillespie (40) and Iyer (27) rebuilt but the introduction of Sav Gandesha saw the Wokingham innings fall away badly. Most of the batsmen made starts but failed to kick on as Gandesha picked up 5-29 in 13 overs as Wokingham crumbled to 160 all out.

Tom Wells-Cole and Rory Millar started the run chase patiently as they shared a stand of 56 in 21 overs before Wells-Cole was bowled for 18. Millar combined well with Tom Bibby (37) and brought up another half century as his fine league form contined. He fell with the score on 108 to the spin of Bobb. Patrick Castleden added some extra impetus to the innings as he struck three 6s in an innings of 28 not out as Cookham cruised to another fine win. With results going largely their way, this win saw them stretch their lead above 3rd place to 42 points with only three games left to go.
