Match report The first game of the league season ended in defeat for the 2nd XI at home to recently relegated Farnham Royal 2s. Cookham lost the toss and were put in to bat and were quickly on the back foot as the top order struggled. New captain Jake Richardson however looked to rebuild with a patiently made 61. His main support came from number 10 Mark Anderson who struck 24 as Cookham were bowled out for 150. Nicholas the pick of the Royal attack with 5-43.

This was never likely to be a winning score but the hosts still put up a brave effort with the ball. Both openers were dismissed cheaply but Southwart, along with Ali and Mohammed ultimately took the game away from the Dean and picked up a four wicket victory. Ali Damirchi and Mark Anderson claimed two wickets each.
