Match report Cookham Dean 2nds lost by four wickets to Falkland 3s at Ricketts Field on Saturday. The hotsts batted first and the Mike Maroudas opening experiment failed as he was bowled by Afridi for 0. This brought Simon D'Ardenne to the crease and he shared a useful partnership with Dave Brooks. D'Ardenne made 24 before being cleaned up while Brooks continued his fine early season form with 61. The middle order fell away somewhat but aggressive contributions from Ali Damirchi (34) and Andy Murdoch (25) looked set to guide the Dean to posting a competitive total. Wickets fell in a clutter again though and it was a counter-attacking innings of 27 from Richard Bibby that took them past 200 and ultimately to 211 all out.

The Falkland innings was in disarray at 2 for 3 thanks to James Taylor and Christian Austin's bowling. Akram combined with Townsend however in a big stand that the Dean had little answer to. Akram made 84 before being bowled by Austin while Townsend finished on 95 not out as Falkland picked up a four wicket win. Austin was the clear pick of the bowlers with 4 for 51.
