Match report Cookham Dean 2nds fell to a six wicket defeat away to Datchet 2nds on Saturday afternoon to leave them third bottom of Division 5B of the Thames Valley League. Cookham batted first and were immediately struggling when Williams removed Dave Brooks and Arun Brar early on. Captain Jake Richardson (18) and Christian Austin (24) attempted a revival along with a typically counter-attacking innings from youngster Bertie Kennedy who made 18. No-one could go on to make any major contribution however and despite 15 not out from Andy Pett, the visitors were skittled for a poor 106. Williams was the stand-out bowler for Datchet with 4-20.

Dean opening bowlers Richard Bibby and Austin had to bowl well if Cookham were to have any chance of victory. Briefly this looked like it might be possible as their accurate seam and swing bowling saw Datchet collapse to 30-4. Some big hitting from Williams (48 not out) supported by White (28 not out) settled any nerves for the hosts and they stayed top of the league with four wins out of four.
