Match report Cookham Dean 2nd XI fell to another defeat at the hands of Falkland 3s on Saturday afternoon which draw them slip to third bottom in TVL 5B.

Cookham were inserted at the toss and lost both Arun Brar and Simon D'Ardenne early on to Baker. Dave Brooks (32) and Jake Richardson (40) looked to steady the ship with Richardson apparently striking one of the biggest 6s that Bertie Kennedy had ever seen. Both fell to Baker however whilst Andrew Pett was the only other notable run contributor with 36 as the lower order fell away badly. Cookham were bowled out for a disappointing 176 in the end.

James Taylor removed Baker, the scourge of the Dean's innings, for a duck but otherwise it was hard work for the Cookham bowlers. Akram, as in the corresponding fixture earlier in the season, was the mainstay of Falkland's reply with 74 not out and received decent support from P Piper (36) and B Piper (29). Richard Bibby and Arun Brar picked up two wickets each but a Cookham victory was always improbable and Falkland picked up a comfortable five wicket win and 20 points.
