Match report Cookham Dean's 3rd XI were denied a chance to push for victory after a downpour saw the game called off at the half-way stage. OMT won the toss and put Cookham in on a wet wicket. Jonathan Gay and Matt Wells-Cole batted sensibly however, running well between the wickets and taking easy singles with the field pushed well back. They put 69 for the first wicket in 16 overs before Wells-Cole fell for 17. Gay was then well supported by Chris Kellaway as they shared a stand of 46. Gay brought up his 50 but was then bowled for 63 by a delivery by Shah that turned sharply. Nick Kellaway joined his brother at the crease and they shared an entertaining stand before Chris fell for 47. Nick went on to make 44 and some lusty blows from Dan Roberts (30) took the Dean up to 229-8 before the rain came and the match was abandoned.
