Match report Cookham Dean 3rd XI's batting frailties returned for their final game of the season against 'Beaconsfield' 4ths who gained promotion from 9b after a controversial first season in the league. Cookham won the toss and chose to bat and lost Mark Kirton in the third over for 3. Jonathan Gay (20) and Darren Davies combined well before the former was bowled for 20 attempting to pull through mid-wicket. Davies and Graham Wilson looked in good touch but their dismissals triggered a dramatic collapse however as Cookham slumped from 94-3 to 108 all out in 29 overs. Davies top scoring with 48 while the off-spin of Salman took 4-13.

Despite some protests from some members of the visiting side, the game continued straight after the end of the innnings with twenty overs to bowled before the interval. Cookham had some slight hope at the break as they reduced 'Beaconsfield' to 65-4. Dan Matthews, Mark Fish and Mike Cutting sharing the wickets. A couple more wickets fell shortly after the break but The Dean were always well short as the away side claimed a four wicket win.
