Cookham Dean Cricket Club Won by 17 runs

Match report Cookham Dean Sunday 1sts claimed a 17 run win over Stoke Green at Ricketts Field on Sunday in a good team performance. Cookham batted first and quickly slumped to 22-5 as Mughal and Batting did the damage with the ball. Tom Wells-Cole (41)and Dave Brooks (20) began to repair the damage before Patrick Castleden continued his outstanding form with an innings of 85 from number 8 that included five biguns. Christian Austin also provided some useful support with 24 before The Dean were bowled out for 223.

Austin continued his fine bowling form with three early wickets before Dhillon began to take the attack to the CDCC bowling. He receieved little support of any substance however with only Quelche (40) making a serious contribution. Simon D'Ardenne continued to rebuild his reputation as a canny slow left armer as he snared a couple of late wickets as Stoke Green were bowled out for 206. Dhillon finished not out on 84.
