Match report Cookham Dean 2nds made it two wins in a row in Division 5B to stay top of the table after brushing aside Kew 3s by six wickets.

Kew batted first with youngster Ben Green (2-20) removing Ashton early on for 5. The canny medium pace of Pres Patel made a return to Cookham Dean colours and he had Weeks caught for 8 as wickets fell at regular intervals for the home side. A late rally from Winslade (31) and McMillan (35 not out) saw Kew reach some respectability, finishing on 172-8 from their 52 overs. The off-spin of Aman Mohammed with 3-32 off 10 overs was the pick of the Cookham attack.

Dave Brooks and Mohammed gave The Dean a steady start before Brooks departed for 22. Simon D'Ardenne (4) soon followed which brought skipper Jake Richardson to the crease. He and Mohammed took the came away from Kew before departing for 45 and 54 respectively. This was Mohammed's first 50 for the club in only his second league appearance. Stalwart Andrew Pett (16) and big hitting Jayson McAlpine (20) got the job finished for Cookham, securing the not outs and another 20 points in the bag.
