Cookham Dean Cricket Club team
Under 17s
Captain :
Rob Mettler
Highly thought of youngster who has begun to establish himself in the Saturday 2nd XI. Bowls at a decent pace and also handy with the bat as shown by half centuries against Littlewick Green, Holyport and Chalfont St Peter during the 2007 and 2008 seasons respectively.
Players
Jamie Andrews
Jamie opens the bowling for the under 17s with his in-swinging medium pace. Throughout the years, he has had success with the ball which has earnt him the chance to play in the sunday sides.
Patrick Castleden
A young batsman with a bright future, Patrick has played regular
Sunday cricket since 2007 and made a number of appearances in the Saturday 2nds 6A League title campaign in 2009. Scored his first senior century at the age of 14 for the Sunday 2nds against Holyport. Can also keep wicket and bowl useful off-spin.
Michael James
Bertie Kennedy
Bertie is another up and coming colt who has performed well in his senior outings for the club so far.
Michael Kirton
I bowl leg-spin and try and bat right handed!
Noah Sharples
Noah starred for the Under 13s in the 2008 Julian Cup Colts Final, smashing a quick-fire 50 and claiming three wickets. This earned him a senior debut against Jordans Taverners and he'll be looking to add to this appearance in 2009.
Tom Wells-Cole
Tom joined the club in 2008 after finding opportunities at Maidenhead and Bray limited. He made his debut for the Saturday 2nds during an availability crisis and did well proving himself to be a fine fielder. He also played regularly on Sundays and struck a fine 76 not out againsr Chalfont St Peter. He also scored a century for the Under 15s against Wargrave, this is believed to be the only colts century in Cookham history. This innings ultimately led to him winning Colt of the Year for 2008.
