Golf is a popular activity amongst club members. Each year, usually in October, a club golf outing is held locally where participants (of all abilities) engage in a friendly handicap competition for the ‘Man of Mull’ trophy, followed by a meal afterwards.
There is also a Tuesday golf group (again, of all abilities) who play each week, during the day, at a variety of different local courses – for each weekly outing details are circulated regarding venue and tee times for those who wish to play. Twice a year this Tuesday group has an overnight trip away (last time to Farthingstone Golf Club, near Daventry) to play two rounds at a more distant venue. All the players enjoy playing at different venues each week and, from time to time, we vary the playing format for the day.
On Thursday evenings throughout the summer, starting around 6pm, there is a booking at Hedsor Golf Course and participants play as many holes as they wish until the light fades.Donald Paton (01628 417453 email@example.com) - Tuesday golf
These are open to all club members and guests and are a good way of getting to know other club members and becoming involved in the activities of CDCC. All participants in these golf events are members of DOGS - the "Dean's Own Golf Society"
