Cookham Dean Cricket Club 3rd XI squad

3rd XI

Captain : Jonathan Gay

Jonathan is an opening batsman for the 3rd XI where he has been one of their more consistent performers in recent years. Also bowls leg-spin where he is liable to go at 6 an over plus but tends to pick up a few wickets! 3rd XI captain since 2009 and Club Captain since 2013.
Christian Austin
Christian is a useful all-rounder who for a number of years played regularly in the 1st XI. Key performer in the 3rd XI during their promotion winning season in 2016 but spent a majority of the 2017 season with the 2nd XI.
Mike Cutting
An outstanding clubman, Mike has fulfilled playing roles in all three league teams in recent years and captained the Sunday 1st XI from 2007-2009. Mainly plays in the 3rd XI now where he brought up his first ever century in 2013 against Gerrards Cross Also bowls medium pace and is the current Club Vice-Captain, having been Club Captain in 2012.
Kieran Devereux
Kieran is a Colt who has been at CCDC since he was 6 years of age. He thinks he started that young as his dad was interested in the Friday night "training" sessions that are very popular with parents in Cookham! He plays a wide variety of sports but cricket has overtaken football as his first love. He does a bit of batting and bowling and his ambition is to (hopefully) play for the 1st team before he leaves Secondary school and follow in the foot steps of other Colts that have come through the ranks.
Tom Harvey
big hitter

Clive Lambden
Clive is currently the longest serving member of the first team, and has been a consistent run scorer in recent years, topping the batting averages in 2006, 2007 and 2008. Also keeps wicket, and is known for his ridiculous and often irrelevant comments behind the stumps.
Andrew Pett
A long time CDCC player and the senior figure of the Saturday 2nd XI currently. Andy captained the side from 2004 to 2006, the highlight being promotion in 2004. A wily operator with the ball, Andy often proves very difficult for the batsmen to get away and often returns miserly figures. A genuine all-rounder and regularly bats in the top six. Mr Pett's own description of himself: "Senior pro of the club. senior spinner and allrounder and second only to Jake as worst fielder."
