Fun Guide Dog Event on Friday June 14th, from 3.30 onwards

Dear Parents.

Please see below details of a fun Guide Dog Event the Club is proud to be hosting on Friday June 14th - from 3.30 onwards.

Currently there is a 5 year waiting list for a new Guide Dog.
Every pup helps Guide Dogs deliver their ambition – a future where every person with sight loss has the confidence and support they need to live the life they choose.
It costs over £55,000 to support each dog from birth to retirement and Guide Dogs supports over 4000 dog and owner partnerships.
The naming of the guide dog is incredibly special and we have been given the opportunity to name one dog.
A pup’s name gives them an identity. It will be the single most important word that they’ll learn, as it’s a signal to them that says “the next message is for you”.

We want to raise as much money as we can for the Guide Dogs via the Just Giving link below.

If you donate you can suggest your puppy name.
There will also be an opportunity to donate/choose a puppy name on the Friday 14th.

There will be a prize for the winning entry.

The afternoon will include:

A demonstration of 'puppy training' in action from the Guide Dogs demo team
Educational (but fun!) games for children of all ages
Meet and greet some of the Guide Dogs and their owners
A gift stall with many branded Guide Dogs items
An outreach team to explain more about volunteering for the charity and the opportunities available.

Many thanks and hope to see you on June 14th.

Ian.
