Everything you need to know before the start of the New Season

Welcome to the new Season

The weather is finally starting to improve, the final Indoor Net session has been completed and the ground is looking in fantastic shape ahead of the 2024 season.

The club's Senior teams look strong for the forthcoming season, with several strong First XI players having been recruited, offering valuable experience and further youthful talent, as the team looks forward to the new season with optimism. The young and talented 2nd and 3rd XIs will be playing for promotion, and we have re-launched our 4th XI to give an opportunity for youngsters and stalwarts to enjoy regular competitive cricket.

Friendly fixtures commence on April 20th (after two rain-related False Starts), the Ladies Super 8 kicks off the competitive season on April 28, the Midweek League on Wednesday May 9th, and then the Mens Thames Valley League season starts on May 11th. With a number of players at University, playing for their school teams and/or revising for Exams, we would encourage everybody to make themselves available if they can for the first two league weekends, as we look to make sure we fulfil 4th XI fixtures from Week one. We are still very much open to new recruits.

The 1st XI play Wraysbury and Premier League Club West Herts in the Village Cup and Conference Cup, on Sunday May 12th and May 19th respectively, so again, please make yourselves available if you can so we can look to progress in these competitions.

The first Colts night is Friday 19th April, and details are in the process of being sent out in respect of those.
